Cascade Mountain Wolf
Species: Canis Lupus Fuscus
Classification: Mammal Location: Southwestern Canada down to North Carolina Habitat: Mountains Becoming Extinct Not much research had been done on the Cascade wolf before it became extinct. From what is known, the wolf's extinction was similar to the tiger-wolf's. These beautiful wolves were hunted by settlers until they were to be known as extinct in 1940. Again, the government sponsored bounties on these creatures, there were little that did not show hostility. These wolves could have been saved if people didn't see them as such a threat, and just had left them to live in their habitat. Although there was little research done on the wolf, people have believed they had spotted some in the place where the wolves were said to be living before their extinction. |
